What is this?

Well, it's an idea.  We hope it becomes more than that quickly.  It began with a conversation at last week's match against Colorado.  Why aren't there more fans at this match?  Yes it was cold, yes it was windy and obviously it was outdoors.  What was it the week before?  Weird start time.  I think that was the flavor of the week.  Before that it was April and before that March.

We had a thought.  We know that the Crew front office is making progress to Goal 10K and doing great things on that front, but what could we as fans do in the short term to positively impact the club and positively influence Columbus?

Why not do something that a lot of people will think is crazy?  Why not try to sell out the next game?

Why not make the stadium look like this again?

So this is what we're going to try to do.  We want to work with other fans, community members, media and whomever else wants to help with this to try to convince as many people as we possibly can to show up to the Crew match against Houston at 7:30pm on June 1.

In this space over the next few days there will be a lot of ways that you can get involved and get your friends involved as well.  We'll have flyers you can hang up, letters you can send, action items and other things to keep you as busy as you want to be to help us achieve this goal.

The number one and two things you can do right now are simple.  Invite everyone you know to the game.  Yeah, it seems pretty simple, but if everyone who was at the match last week brought one friend to the match on June 1st this website wouldn't even need to exist.

Second thing, tag #OperationJune1Sellout on Twitter and promote this site and the game on any and all social media outlets.

So that's about it for now.  We've included a FAQ at the bottom because we've been getting some questions online.

We'll be in touch.

----------------------------------------------------------------

FAQ.

Who are you guys?

Just some Crew fans who want to try to get a greater amount of people in Columbus excited about the team and coming out to games.

Is this a Nordecke thing?

No.  Most of us sit in Nordecke, but the goal of this is to have the entire stadium sold out.  If only Nordecke was sold out we'd miss the mark by quite a few tickets.  We want fans from all over the stadium to join in on this.

Are you guys looking for money?

Nope.  Honestly we won't take it either.  This is all DIY.  If you really want to contribute monetarily to this buy a group pack and take some friends to the game.  If your friends are already going buy a group pack and donate it to a youth soccer team, or to Boys and Girls Club or Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  Honestly, that's a great idea.  If you do have some cash to spend and want to support this do just that.  Donate some tickets to charity.  You help the cause

How do I get tickets for the match?

Great question - Single game tickets can be purchased here.  If you want to bring a group, here's some details.  If you want tickets in the Nordecke, We suggest contacting Crew Union or Hudson Street Hooligans.

How do I get in touch with you guys if I want to help?
